❯ Tencent launches Hy4 with vision and computer-use capabilities

From reading text to operating softwareTencent released the full version of Hy4 on November 4. According to IT Home, it adds vision and computer use for the first time, combining perception, reasoning and tools to analyze complex charts and visual math problems, and execute tasks through command-line and graphical interfaces.

New inputs and actionsThe August Hy4 preview focused on coding, office work and research. The full version expands pre-training and post-training, with targeted work on Blender, CAD and long-running tasks across applications. Understanding what is on screen, selecting tools and continuing through multiple steps extends its use to illustrated documents and professional software.

Hosted access precedes weightsHy4 is available through Tencent Cloud and OpenRouter, and in CodeBuddy, WorkBuddy, Yuanbao and ima. Published API prices remain unchanged from the preview. Tencent plans to release the full model’s weights and system card soon, while preparing the faster, more cost-efficient Hy4 flash. Organizations can evaluate hosted access first and consider self-hosting when the weights arrive.
