Its official release showed $14.8 billion in revenue, up 10%, $59.8 billion in gross bookings, up 20%, and approximately 4.1 billion Trips, up 16%. Users and profits increaseMonthly active platform consumers reached 215 million, up 14%, while monthly trips per user rose 2%. Operating income was about $1.4 billion and free cash flow about $2.5 billion. Uber said this was its fifth consecutive quarter of at least 20% constant-currency gross-bookings growth, alongside continuing investment in supply, delivery and engagement across services.
Scaling driverless operationsCEO Dara Khosrowshahi expects approximately 700 fully driverless vehicles on Uber by year-end and more than 2,000 in 2027, with the focus shifting to commercial execution. Uber connects riders and orders with different autonomous-driving partners. A larger fleet must integrate with dispatch, local demand density and daily service to handle recurring real-world orders.
▮ SIGNALUber is applying its existing demand network to driverless vehicles, making operational fleet size and real orders increasingly relevant measures of commercialization.
