❯ Town raises $108 million Series B to connect personal AI assistants across teams

The valuation is confirmedTown’s October 19 release confirmed a $108 million Series B at a $1 billion valuation, co-led by Forerunner Ventures and Menlo Ventures, with a16z, First Round and others participating. The product focus is communication between individual assistants to reduce time lost waiting for colleagues.

Personal context meets collaborationEach assistant, called a Townie, connects to its user’s email, documents, calendar and work systems. It learns preferences and, within permissions, asks colleagues’ assistants questions or hands work over. Examples include finding internal relationships, preparing meetings and applying updated team processes. Town says thousands of businesses use it; that statement does not disclose an equivalent number of paying customers or associated revenue.

The reason to buy another toolTown’s product explanation says organizations own the context created through collaboration and can take it elsewhere. It targets handoffs and scattered knowledge that remain bottlenecks after individual productivity improves. Buyers will assess collaboration and permissions, while Town must integrate with actual work and coexist with established email, collaboration and AI services.
