NVIDIA describes Vera CPU gains for AI agent workloads

In a blog post, NVIDIA described its Vera CPU for AI agent workloads, saying it combines faster agent performance with higher capacity per watt in a single CPU. The company said that in a 100-megawatt data center comparison, Vera delivered 1.6x more agents per watt than the fastest x86 CPU and 2x faster agent speed than the most energy-efficient x86 CPU. NVIDIA also said Perplexity ran agentic coding tasks 1.5x faster on Vera, while Modal achieved up to 2x sandbox throughput per core.
