xAI updates Grok Bot terms to spell out phone-call actions

xAI updated its official Grok Bot terms on 2026-10-31, and the document says Grok Bot may place or receive phone calls on a customer’s behalf. The terms treat those calls as agentic actions and make the customer the caller of record, responsible for compliance with TCPA and other telemarketing, robocall, caller ID and call-recording laws. They also require callee consent, ban marketing, mass calling, fraud and impersonation, and say calls identify themselves as coming from a virtual assistant and may be recorded.
