❯ Reach Security raises more than $50 million to close configuration gaps in companies’ security tools
Series B plus a new productReach Security announced on October 13 more than $50 million in Series B led by Top Tier Capital Partners, with Ballistic Ventures, In-Q-Tel, Microsoft’s M12 and others; no valuation was disclosed. The money funds products, integrations, international expansion and US enterprise and federal growth.
Owning tools isn't configuring themMany companies buy security products but misconfigure them, leaving gaps. Reach reads the live settings of existing tools, determines whether an attack path is blocked or still open, and fixes settings that drift. Setup needs only a read-only API key and no new hardware.
Security veteransCEO Garrett Hamilton and CTO Colt Blackmore built detection and prevention products at Palo Alto Networks, Proofpoint and Cylance. The company earlier raised $20 million led by Ballistic Ventures, with former Palo Alto Networks CEO Mark McLaughlin as an angel. Its customer base doubled in a year and includes Autodesk, Insurity and Ensemble Health Partners.
Inside other toolsThe new Reach Everywhere delivers its findings through an API and an MCP server into tools and AI systems security teams already use, for example reordering a vulnerability backlog by what is actually reachable; fixes go through ServiceNow or Jira and are validated in a controlled environment first.
Automatic fixes must be reversibleAutomatic checks and fixes save repetitive work; analyst firm TAG Infosphere estimated more than 160 hours saved a week. But a wrong rule change can block normal business, so validating first and being able to roll back is what lets teams trust it.
