Apple had fallen behind OpenAI and Google on assistants, and is now shipping the model with the OS, running on Apple Foundation Models built with Google’s Gemini, on device and on Private Cloud Compute.

The entrance changedSiri AI is not available initially in the EU on iPadOS and watchOS, is not shipping in China, carries daily caps on server-side features and is closed to users under 13.
